Why are the adrenals important?
The primary function of the adrenal glands is to produce hormones that help regulate your metabolism, immune system, blood pressure, response to stress, and other essential functions. The release of hormones in response to stress through the production of cortisol — also known as the “stress hormone” – can support the body’s “fight or flight” response. Yet, chronically high levels can negatively impact proper functioning.
Key Ingredients:
N-acetyl-tyrosine – the most bioavailable form of the amino acid tyrosine and is a critical building block of the hormones and neurotransmitters which are often depleted under chronic stress conditions. Vitamin C – its inclusion in Adrenal Complex is critical, as it plays an important role in adrenal hormone production and the maintenance of healthy cortisol levels. B Vitamins – the comprehensive spectrum of B vitamins in this product help to balance the production of stress hormones.
Adaptogens: adaptogens regulate the production of various hormones and neurotransmitters. Whether the need is for an increase or decrease, they facilitate the normalizing of these levels. The adaptogenic herbs in Adrenal Flow include Rhodiola, ashwagandha, American ginseng, and eleuthero.
