The Nitty Gritty:

Lactic acid is a normal energy source for our bodies, despite what the world of sport has led you to believe. When we're physically active our mitochondria produce copious amounts of it to keep up with energy demands...but when we produce more than our body can utilize, lactic acid accumulates in the blood and is associated with leading to fatigue (a bit more nuanced than that, but you get the picture).

Typically excess lactic acid goes to the liver and gets converted into glucose, but Fitbiomics discovered that a portion of lactic acid associated with fatigue enters into the gut and serves as a carbon source for our microbiome. V-Nella is unique in its ability to metabolize lactic acid from your muscles and convert it to short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs).
